Quy Nhon Port is a national general port, a regional hub (Type 1) of the South Central Vietnam seaport group, located in Quy Nhon Bay, sheltered by the Phuong Mai Peninsula, making it very favorable for ships to anchor and load/unload cargo year-round. The channel and wharf have a natural depth that can accommodate ships up to 30,000 DWT for normal entry/exit and 50,000 DWT (reduced load). It serves as a gateway to the East Sea for the South Central region, the Central Highlands, and countries in the Mekong Subregion. Its proximity to international shipping routes makes it very convenient for foreign ships to enter and exit. It is a central location for countries in Southeast Asia and East Asia, with over 10 sea routes connecting to international ports such as Manila, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Bangkok (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Vladivostok (Russia), etc.
